*hang out with – To spend time with someone
auction – a public sale in which goods or property are sold to the highest bidder.
NGO – a non-profit organization that operates independently of any government, typically one whose purpose is to address a social or political issue.
frontline – the most important or influential position in a debate or movement.
prominent – important; famous.
*figures – a person of a particular kind, especially one who is important or distinctive in some way.
*Grab a coffee – to get, to buy, to drink a coffee (quickly)
acting chops – basically means you have a firm command of Acting technique in general and can perform all or most technical requirements of a given role: eg: tears, dramatic dialogue, emotional range, vocal and physical presence and good timing.
*booth – an enclosed compartment that allows privacy, for example when telephoning, voting, or sitting in a restaurant.
coating – a thin layer or covering of something.
glimpse – a momentary or partial view.
*claim – state or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof.
*thorough – complete with regard to every detail; not superficial or partial.
undertake – commit oneself to and begin (an enterprise or responsibility); take on.
*on average – is defined as the usual amount of something.
laid-off – a temporary or permanent discharge of a worker or workers.
*checks – an order to a bank to pay a stated sum from the drawer’s account, written on a specially printed form.
boost – a source of help or encouragement leading to increase or improvement.
*lasts – (of a process, activity, or state) continue for a specified period of time.
wage – a fixed regular payment earned for work or services, typically paid on a daily or weekly basis.
*employers – a person or organization that employs people.
*former – having previously been a particular thing.
*rushing – moving with urgent haste.
crafting – exercise skill in making (an object), typically by hand.
swiftly – at high speed; quickly.
ravaging – cause severe and extensive damage to.
*amount – a quantity of something, especially the total of a thing or things in number, size, value, or extent.
*handle – manage (a situation or problem).

What are daily lessons?
These short lessons cannot substitute speaking on a regular basis, which is the best way to improve. These lessons are a great way to keep improving in between lessons. They are short readings and videos selected by Marcus to help you save time and energy. It is not easy to stay motivated and even when you are motivated, it is difficult to find something new and interesting every day. I will take care of that for you, making it very simple for you to improve your English skills every single day!

How to use daily lessons
No stress! My goal is to provide new and interesting material every day for those who like to learn a little bit at a time. For others who don’t have time to study everyday, I don’t wan’t you to feel discouraged or overwhelmed. When you have time, do what you can and decide when and if you have time to practice. Every person is different and each of us has our own learning method.
Niente stress! Il mio obiettivo è quello di fornire ogni giorno materiale nuovo e interessante per chi ama imparare un po’ alla volta. Per gli altri che non hanno tempo di studiare ogni giorno, non voglio che vi sentiate scoraggiati o sopraffatti.
